Outstanding Performance by Mitie Security at the OSPAs

Last week (26^th February), saw Mitie Security nominated at the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), hosted at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. This prestigious event celebrates the fantastic work in the security industry, celebrating individual and team successes across a range of categories.

Going into the event, we had an amazing 17 nominations across 9 unique categories. The OSPAs are renowned for having an extremely high calibre of entries, so it is always a competitive set of awards and to achieve such a high number of nominations is a statement in itself.

By the end of the evening, we had come away with a fantastic 5 award wins, including the big one of the night, Outstanding Contract Security Company.

• Outstanding Contract Security Manager/Director – Nav Kalley. Nav has consistently been at the forefront of change and championed development for Sainsbury’s, truly working in partnership with them to deliver a number of industry leading solutions. Under his leadership they have introduced new, innovative security training and processes to ensure the safety of Sainsbury’s people, assets and environments.
  
• Outstanding Security Team – M&S Security Operations Centre (SOC) Team. The M&S SOC was a truly transformational security solution, bringing together a previously siloed approach and delivering actionable intelligence to deliver the most efficient use of resources. With wide ranging backgrounds, the team bring together their expertise to deliver an industry leading solution to M&S.
  
• Outstanding Security Installer/Integrator – Mitie Fire & Security Systems. As one of the UK’s largest integrated systems providers, Mitie Fire & Security Systems consistently deliver cutting-edge solutions for some of the UK’s biggest companies.
  
• Outstanding New Security Product – Merlin 24/7. This innovative product streamlines processes and procedures and captures data securely in one central location. Enhanced reporting ability enables clients to adjust their security measures accordingly, providing them much greater visibility on risks and threats to their people, assets and environments.
  
• Outstanding Contract Security Company – Mitie Security. The UK’s leading intelligence-led security business, utilising people, intelligence and technology to deliver effective, efficient solutions to clients. An exceptional performance in the last 12 months, with outstanding clients won and retained, it was an amazing year for Mitie Security.

Martin Gill, OSPAs founder, stated that the standard of entries this year was extremely high, so to win five awards is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole Mitie Security team, and should be considered a fantastic achievement.
