Procius awarded vetting contract for the UK’s leading sport stadiums
- Three-year contract with hospitality company, Delaware North
- Award-winning technology will provide legacy checks for c4,500 events staff as well as new employees
Mitie’s market-leading vetting agency, Procius, has secured a new contract with global hospitality company Delaware North, one of the largest privately held hospitality companies in the world. The three-year contract worth £210,000 was awarded following a competitive tender process.
Under the contract Procius will vet over 4,000 existing Delaware North UK event staff in the first year. With a further 2,000 new applicants expected to be vetted per year.
This appointment underpins Delaware North’s industry leading ‘Protect Me’ campaign which places a renewed focus on security and protection for both staff and customers. Following a review of security procedures and protocols, under the ‘Protect Me’ campaign all staff will be vetted in line with recommendations by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO). As well as the new Disclosure and Barring Service (“DBS”) documentation requirements, employees will also undergo basic criminal record and global sanctions checks.
Procius will deploy its MyCheck technology, which will integrate with Delaware North’s Applicant Tracking System, and Human Resources and Time & Attendance System. As well as allowing a seamless journey for the Delaware North’s colleagues, it will reduce the admin burden for both its head office and events staff.
